Steakhouse Blue Cheese Dressing

1cupsour cream
5ozcheese, blue
1tspsalt, table
1tsppepper, fresh ground
1tspgarlic, minced
1tspWorcestershire sauce
6Tbbuttermilk
1pinchpepper, cayenne
1headlettuce, iceberg
 
 

Mix together mayonnaise and sour cream. Stir in blue cheese, salt, pepper, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and cayenne pepper. Mix well. This mixture will be very thick, Store in refrigerator. Immediately before serving, thin with buttermilk.

Serve on a wedge of iceberg lettuce.

Hint: Makes 3 cups of dressing.

2Tbbutter, salted
2Tbvinegar, cider
3Tbsugar, brown
0.25cuplemon, juice of
110 oz bottleketchup
3TbWorcestershire sauce
1Tbmustard, dried
1cupwater
 

Brown onion in butter in large Dutch oven, add remaining ingredients (with the exception of the ribs) Simmer for 15 minutes. Add individual ribs and bake at 350 degrees for two hours.

Baked French Fries

Preheat oven to 450 degrees, bake for 10-15 minutes (for frozen fries), until brown. Salt and pepper immediately upon removing from oven.

Bread - Honey Moist Cornbread

1cupcorn meal, yellow
1tspxanthan gum
0.33cupsugar, granulated
1Tbbaking powder
0.33tspsalt, kosher
8ozcream, whipping
0.25cupoil, vegetable
3largeegg
0.25cuphoney
 

Heat oven to 400 degrees
Stir all dry ingredients then add the remaining ingredients
Pour onto a greased 9-inch pan
Bake for 20-25 minutes. ( for best results use a cast iron frying pan. Place in oven 10 minutes prior to baking, add 1 Tb of butter to pan then add the batter)

My wife has a sweet tooth; she recommends doubling the honey if you are making the cornbread for breakfast.
