In a large bowl place oil, lemon juice and garlic, press garlic into bowl with a wooden spoon to distribute. Whisk ingredients together. Tear (don’t cut) lettuce into small pieces, put in bowl on top of dressing, When you are ready to serve toss salad and add romano and toss again.

Roll six or seven whole green bean in bacon strips (cut in half) to make bundles. Place in 9 by 13 pan. Heat remaining ingredients in saucepan until butter is melted. Pour over bundles. Bake covered in 350-degree oven for 30 minutes- then uncover and bake 15 more minutes.

Prepare rice according to directions and set aside. Melt butter in heavy saucepan over low heat. Add flour and stir until smooth. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Gradually whisk in milk and broth and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened and bubbly. Combine in a large bowl, the sauce, rice, cooked and cubed chicken breasts, mushrooms, green pepper, and pimento. Put into a greased 9 by 13 baking dish. Cover and refrigerate until ready to bake- several hours or overnight. Bring to room temperature, and then bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
Al's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Toast walnuts slightly . Cream butter and sugar, beat in egg and vanilla. Sift flour and baking soda together, add to batter. Stir in walnuts and chocolate chips.
Place 2 ounces of batter at a time on cookie sheet covered with parchment paper. Bake for 8 minutes or until lightly brown.
Full recipe makes 16 cookies.
Hint: Use a 1 oz ice cream dipper to keep cookies uniform in size.
